Meet Dr. Song 

​

Dr. Mi Hye Elisa Song, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist who is well-versed in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

 

She is the founder of Song Dermatology in Carrollton, TX.

 

Born in Sweden, she also lived in Australia and South Korea before moving to Dallas, Texas at a young age. While Dr. Song has lived in various parts of the world, she considers Plano, Texas her home. 

 

Dr. Song graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas (UT) at Austin with a double major in Plan II Honors Program and French. She then graduated at the top of her medical school class with a 4.0 GPA at Long School of Medicine at UT San Antonio. She was one of the few in her class to be inducted into Junior AOA Medical Honor Society during medical school. 

 

After graduating from medical school, she completed her internship in internal medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas prior to finishing her residency training in dermatology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She served as chief resident during her final year in dermatology residency.

 

Dr Song’s research in the field of dermatology has been published in many peer-reviewed journals to include Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Journal of American Medical Association Dermatology. Her clinical interests include skin cancer treatment and prevention, cosmetic dermatology, and hair-loss.

 

Outside of medicine, Dr Song enjoys running, cooking, baking, and traveling with her husband. Dr Song speaks fluent Korean as well as conversational Spanish and French.
